Description

This is a farmhouse, built in 1778. It is constructed of brick with a pantile roof. The front elevation features a band across the first floor, cogged eaves, coped gables, and three gable and one side wall brick stacks. The building is two storeys high, with a garret level, and consists of three bays, arranged in an L-shape with a two-storey lean-to rear addition dating from around 1980. The windows are casements with segmental brick arches above. The front has a central reeded timber doorcase with curved brackets, an open pediment, and a fanlight, flanked by casement windows. Above the door, there are three casements, the central one being larger. The northwest front has two 20th-century oriel windows to the left, followed by two small casements and larger casements with segmental heads. Above these, a casement and a Yorkshire sash window are visible. A garret casement sits above that. The southeast gable has a datestone inscribed "JB 177-" on the left, followed by a louvre door and a casement. A garret casement is located above this. The rear wing has 20th-century windows. An 18th-century casement with glazing bars is found above to the left of the rear wing.
