Description
Ivy Cottage is a cottage with a single bay addition, dating from the mid 18th century and late 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and brick, topped with a pantile roof featuring dentillated eaves. The building has a single ridge and a single rear wall stack, and it is one storey plus attics, comprising three bays in total.
The south-west front features, on the left, a 20th-century door flanked by single casements, all with segmental heads. To the right, there is a casement with an elliptical head, followed by a door with a segmental head. Above this, there is a central sloping dormer flanked by two gabled dormers, all of which are from the 20th century. The south-east gable has a casement, and above it, to the left, is a Yorkshire sash window. The north-west gable features a parapeted boundary wall with a blocked opening on the left, and to its right, there is a Yorkshire sash window, with a casement above. All openings throughout the cottage have segmental heads.
