Description

The Old School House, built in 1790, was originally a school and is now a house. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and is lime washed. The building features a pantile roof with brick gable stacks and is a single storey with an attic. The front has three bays, with a later single bay lean-to added. A central 20th-century door is flanked by single glazing bar Yorkshire sash windows, and all openings have timber lintels. Above the door is an inscribed datestone that records a list of subscribers.
