Description
The wall, railings, and gateposts located to the south-west of Boroughbridge Hall date from the early to mid-19th century. Constructed from pink and yellow sandstone ashlar, the gateposts feature cornices and narrower square upper sections with bracketed cornices and pyramidal caps. The coursed stone side walls have a heavy plinth and end in square piers. The heavy wrought iron railings are adorned with ball and spike standards, and the square or twist baluster piers are topped with larger finials.
