Description
The Cottage is an early 18th-century brick cottage located on the west side of Boroughbridge Market Square. The brick facade is now rendered. The building has stepped and dentilled eaves and a band at the level of the first-floor cill. The gable features tumbled brickwork. The roof is covered with pantiles, with end chimneys present. It is two storeys high, with two bays. A modern door is centrally positioned. Canted bays flank the entrance, each containing sash windows with glazing bars. Above these are 16-pane sash windows that cut into the eaves cornice.
