Description

This is an early 19th-century cottage located on the west side of Chapel Lane in Claypole. The cottage is constructed of red brick with a pantile roof, featuring stone coped gables, kneelers, dentillated eaves, and brick gable stacks. The two-storey, three-bay front has a central doorway with a 20th-century half-glazed door. Single windows with sliding sashes flank the doorway, with three smaller windows above, featuring casements. All of the window and doorway openings have segmental brick arches. Later 19th-century and 20th-century additions have been made to the rear of the building. The building has group value from the contribution it makes to the character of the area.
