Description

Fen Farmhouse is a late 18th-century house in Claypole. It is constructed of red brick with a hipped pantile roof, featuring lead flashings and two ridge stacks at the rear. The house is two and a half storeys high and has a three-bay front. A central doorway is framed by a 20th-century doorcase and contains a panelled glass door. A first-floor band runs across the two northern bays, and there are decorated eaves. A noticeable change in brick bonding is visible between the southern bay and the rest of the front. Single windows are located on either side of the door, with three windows above, the window above the door being narrower. Three small windows are situated above the first floor. All windows are glazing bar sashes.
