Description
This is a house with a shop and an adjoining cottage, built in two phases during the late 18th century and early 19th century. The structure is made of whitewashed local brick and features dentilled eaves and a first-floor band on the house. The house has a cement tile roof with stone coping and kneelers, and end chimneys, while the cottage has a pantile roof.
The house is three stories tall with two bays, while the cottage is two stories with a single bay. The house has a central entrance, with a canted bay to the left that includes sash windows with glazing bars, and a square 20th-century shop window bay to the right. Above these, there are sash windows with glazing bars set in flush wood architraves, featuring splayed channelled stucco lintels and cills. The second floor has unequal sashes. The cottage has a through passage to the left, with an entrance that has a modern door. The cottage features sash windows with glazing bars and stone cills, and all openings are segmental arched.
