Description
Mynthurst is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, constructed of brown local brick. It features a wooden modillion eaves cornice and a Welsh slate roof with stone coping. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. There are four stone steps leading to a central entrance, which is flanked by iron railings. The entrance consists of a six-panel door topped by a radial fanlight, all set within a wooden doorcase that has attached columns and an open modillion pediment with paterae in the friezes.
On either side of the entrance, there are later dentilled bows with sash windows that have glazing bars and are curved in plan. Above these, there are sash windows with glazing bars set in flush wood architraves and cills. The forecourt is enclosed by 20th-century iron railings. On the north side of the house, there is a segmental arched entrance featuring a six-panel door, a large sash window with glazing bars, and a painted lintel and cill. At the rear, there is a round arched staircase window with glazing bars, also in a flush wood architrave.
