Milepost, cast by Mattisons of Bedale, late C19.

Description: cast iron of triangular cross section with an open rear and a blank, sloping upper face. The left face is embossed with a pointing hand above the text MALTON 4 MILES. The right face is similar but with text YORK 14 MILES. Mattisons of Bedale marked on the rear.
