Description
The building is a former cowhouse located approximately 15 metres west of Park House, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble sandstone with a stone slate roof and is a single storey with five internal bays. The north elevation features quoins on the left side. From the left, there is a board stable door set in a quoined surround, followed by leaved board doors within a segmental-arched central cart opening, and two additional board stable doors. The roof is hipped to the right and has coping on the left. Inside, there are stalls at either end flanking the central entrance, each designed to accommodate four beasts with tethering rails, two vented balks, and stone troughs. This building is included for its group value.
