Description

This is a disused enclosure for livestock accommodation, possibly for waterfowl, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of rubble with dressed sandstone and forms a quadrant in plan, overlooking a lake. The enclosure features quoins and has a board door set in a chamfered quoined doorway on the outer wall. Inside, there are paired quoined doorways that are rebated for outward-opening doors, providing access to two small vaulted chambers. This structure is included for its group value.
