Description
No 39 is a house dating from around 1700, with later alterations. The main facade is made of ashlar, while the rear and side are constructed from coursed rubble. It has a 20th-century concrete interlocking tile roof. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. Notable architectural details include chamfered rusticated quoins and architraves around the openings. The central entrance has a 20th-century six-panel door, and there are 16-pane sash windows, some of which have been renewed. The architraves of the windows previously had flat-faced mullions. The house has shaped kneelers and ashlar coping, with stacks at each end. At the rear, there is an added outshut that features an architraved doorway, which may have been relocated from another site.
