Description

Holly Farmhouse and the adjoining barn to the west are a farmhouse and barn dating from the 18th century and early 19th century. The 18th century part of the house and the barn are built of ashlar, while the 19th century east addition is made of coursed squared stone. Both structures have pantiled roofs with stone dressings.

The layout consists of a linear 18th century house and barn, with the 19th century addition extending north to create an L-plan. The house is two storeys tall, while the barn to the left is one and a half storeys. The main front of the house features two bays from the 18th century, with an early 19th century right bay. There is a 20th century glazed porch on the older part of the house, and the main front has paired sash windows from the 19th century. The original sash window with glazing bars is located in the right bay. The roof has copings and kneelers, as well as corniced end chimneys. The two bay right return of the house has early 19th century glazing-bar sashes. The barn includes a sliding wagon door, a plain boarded door with a loading door above, and a small 20th century window.
