Description
Mill Cottages, consisting of three houses, were built in the late 18th century. The cottages are constructed of ashlar, with the first floor of the left bay of No 1 raised in red brick. They feature pantiled roofs with stone dressings and brick chimneys. The buildings are two storeys high, with No 2 being the tallest, and each cottage has two bays. The left bay of No 1 was originally a single-storey outbuilding that has been raised to two storeys. The doors are set in 20th-century glazed porches, while Nos 2 and 3 share a porch located within the wall space of No 3. The cottages have sash windows with glazing bars, either in box frames or with wood architraves, except for a late 19th-century sash in No 3 and fixed barred lights in the upper left part of No 1, which was likely a granary. The stone roof copings and kneelers are square on No 1 and curved on the others, with brick chimneys positioned at the ends of Nos 2 and 3 and in the centre of No 1.
