Description
This is a row of three cottages located at 52-56 West End, built in the early 19th century. The cottages are constructed of ashlar stone and feature a pantile roof. They are two stories tall and consist of four bays in total; No 56 has two bays, while Nos 52 and 54 each have one bay. Nos 52 and 54 have adjoining board doors with plain lintels. To the right of the left-hand bay of No 56, there is a board door set in a plain stone surround with a plain lintel. The windows are 20th-century casements with stone sills and plain lintels, except for No 54, which has four-pane sliding sashes. The cottages also feature a shaped kneeler, stone coping, an end stack to the right, and one rendered stack on the ridge.
