Description
Forge Cottage, formerly known as Chapel House, is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a pantiled roof with stone copings, while the attached stable has a Welsh slate roof. The building stands two storeys high with a basement and has two slightly irregular windows. The entrance is an off-centre plain boarded door that is accessed by stone steps. The windows are Yorkshire sliding sashes. The gable end facing the road is mostly blank, except for a small fixed light, a mailbox, and a boarded basement door. There is a near-contemporary small stable or garage that projects from the northeast corner. The gable end of the house facing the road has curved kneelers.
