Description
Holly House and Barn adjoining is a mid-18th century farmhouse with an adjoining barn. The house has cement-rendered walls and a graduated green slate roof. A brick and an ashlar chimney stack rise from the building. The barn has walls of mixed sandstone rubble, also under a graduated green slate roof. The main house is two storeys high, with two bays. To the right is a four-bay barn which shares a common roofline. The house has a central 20th-century door set within a painted stone architrave, which is ornamented with a plain frieze and cornice. Sash windows with glazing bars are set within painted stone surrounds. The barn features a segmental-arched cart entrance on the left side, positioned under slit vents. Other features include plank doors, a loft doorway, and casement windows, all contained within stone surrounds.
