Description
Holly House and the adjoining barn are a farmhouse and barn dating from the mid-18th century. The house features painted incised render and is topped with a graduated greenslate roof, which has coped gables and kneelers, along with painted roughcast chimney stacks. The barn has cement roughcast walls and also has a graduated greenslate roof. The building is two storeys high and has two bays, with a lower barn on the right side. There is a 20th-century door set in a stone architrave within a 20th-century stone porch. The windows are casement style with glazing bars, framed in painted stone architraves. The barn includes a through archway with plank doors in stone surrounds and slit vents. An external mounting block made of rubble with flagstone steps is present. A 20th-century kitchen extension to the left of the house is not of interest.
