Description
Isel Bridge House and the former stables, built around 1785 for the Reverend John Waite, are now divided into two houses. The building features cement rendered walls with angle pilasters and is topped with a graduated greenslate roof that has coped gables and rendered and stone chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with lower wings on either side; the right wing includes the former stables, which are attached at right angles. There is a 20th-century door set within a trellis porch. The house has sash windows with glazing bars in painted stone surrounds, and the wings also feature similar sash windows. The right return wall of the stables has large double plank doors, as well as casement and Yorkshire sash windows beneath slit vents.
