Description

Isel Mill is a watermill dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of mixed sandstone rubble with a right pilaster and left flush quoin. The roof is of graduated greenslate. The building is two storeys, originally two bays in width, with a left extension under a common roof and a right lower wheelhouse. External stone steps lead to a plank door. Small stone-surround openings are present. The left extension has a plank door and loft openings. The wheelhouse retains its overshot iron wheel of large diameter. The mill is listed for group value with Isel Mill House.
