SUTTON-ON-THE-FOREST MAIN STREET north side, off) Ice house at Sutton Park approximately 75 metres to north-west of house

GV II Ice house. Mid C19. Pinkish brick in header bond with some courses of street- chers; large stone slabs to roof of entrance passage. Cavity-walled dome, now uncovered and with inserted window in northern side, has entrance passage on western side with board door. Interior: stone-paved entrance passage leads to rectangular access hole of the ice chamber which has a brick-lined, tapering, circular pit. The ice house originally would have been covered with earth.
