Statue probably 1723 by Andrew Carpenter: pedestal c1720 probably by Nicholas Hawksmoor. Sandstone pedestal, lead statue. Pedestal base with relief festoons pendant from 4 consoles at level of moulded frieze. Statue of a faun carrying a kid on his shoulders propped by iron bar under right arm, copied from a C2 AD Roman copy of a bronze original of the early C3 BC, perhaps of the Pergamene school, now in the Prado, Madrid.
