Description

These early 19th-century properties, known as 1 and 2 Whitby Road (and formerly as Nos. 1 and 2 Brant Hill and Nos. 1 and 2 Hatcase Lane), are built of coursed stone. They are two storeys in height, with a pantile roof incorporating two modern dormers. The gables are coped with stone kneelers, and there are brick stacks at each gable end. Each property has two windows with hung sash glazing, lacking glazing bars, and stone lintels incorporating keystones. The ground floor features two 19th-century canted bays. Number 1 has a four-panel door with a rectangular fanlight, and a stone lintel with a keystone; number 2 has a six-panel door with a rectangular fanlight, and a similar stone lintel with a keystone.
