Description

This is an 18th-century building on Castlegate. It is two storeys high and constructed of coursed stone with a pantile roof and brick stacks. The front has two windows on the first floor, each with three lights and sliding sash windows containing glazing bars. The ground-floor windows are similar, but have stone lintels with incised keystones. A 19th-century doorway features plain pilasters and a cornice, with a four-panel door and a rectangular fanlight above. The building forms a group with numbers 1 to 5 on Castlegate.
