Description

This is an 18th-century building on the west side of Castlegate. It is two storeys high and constructed from coursed stone, topped with a steep pantile roof and a brick stack. The front has two windows, each with sliding sash glazing bars and wooden lintels. The ground floor features a canted bay of the 19th century with three lights and glazing bars. A four-panel door, with a narrow lintel, provides access. A plinth runs along the base of the building. Nos. 24 and 25 Castlegate are considered to form a group.
