SE 5670 CRAYKE WESTWAY 7/21 (east side) Town End Farmhouse and adjoining farm building to south GV II

Farmhouse. Probably mid C18 with heightening of about 4 courses at eaves and some rebuilding of upper parts of gable ends in early C19. Reddish-brown local brick, 3-course 1st floor band. Sandstone quoins to lower part north side. Pantile roof with end chimneys. Two storeys, 2 bays. End entrance has 4-panel door under flat brick arch. Modern casements under brick soldier arches. Remains of bricked-up window above entrance. South gable: remains of tumbled-in brickwork. Adjoining to south: farm building, probably former stable and hayloft. Early C19. Reddish-brown brick. Pantile roof. Two storeys. Wagon entrance to left. Remains of several segmental brick arches. Three lst floor windows with wooden shutters. Included for group considerations.
