Description

The Little Homestead is a cottage dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of pinkish-brown local brick and features a swept pantile roof with end stacks. The building has two storeys and two bays. The ground floor has 20th-century casement windows with painted lintels, while the central entrance is marked by a six-panel door topped with a 19th-century hood. The cottage also has a first-floor band and dentilled eaves. Inside, there are ceiling beams. The property is included in the register mainly for its group value context and was previously known as Uphill Cottage.
