Description
Park House and Park Cottage are two houses located on the north side of High Street in Gargrave, dating from the mid 18th century and mid 19th century. The buildings feature a mix of rendered surfaces over dressed stone and random rubble, topped with stone slate roofs.
The structure is L-shaped and two stories high. On the left side is Park House, which is set back and rendered, consisting of two bays with a doorway positioned between them. The windows and doorway are framed with architraves, and the window lattices include a keystone sash without glazing bars.
To the right is Park Cottage, which is unrendered and showcases ashlar quoins and dressings. It has modern fixed glazing and casements within plain stone surrounds, with two bays on each floor and an attic light. The central doorway features a cornice, and both doors are partly glazed. Additional details include stone gutter brackets and a ball finial at the gable apex of Park Cottage. The buildings are topped with three chimneys.
