CHULMLEIGH EAST STREET, north side SS 6814-6914 Chulmleigh 7/53 The Cedars and Willows GV II Pair of houses. Early C19. Roughcast rendered stone rubble. Slate roof with gable ends. Large axial brick stack. Plan: Mirror plan pair of houses, built gable end to street. Each house is single room wide, 2 rooms deep (all 4 rooms sharing the single stack), with outer entrance passages containing rear staircases. Lean-to kitchen outshuts to each side. Exterior: 2 storeys with attic storey. 4 window range. Original fenestration entirely intact, all semi-circular headed sash windows. Bulls eye window to attic storey. 4 panelled door to right, 6 panelled door to left. Interior: Brief interior inspections suggested C19 joinery; staircases and panelled doors largely intact.
