Description

This is a 19th-century milepost made of cast iron, located on the central reservation approximately 300 metres south of York Gate Farmhouse. The milepost has a triangular shape with a sloping top. On the left face, it displays the inscription 'Catterick 15' along with an arrow, while the right face shows 'Boroughbridge 7' and another arrow. Other lettering is not visible, and the rounded head of the milepost is missing. The top surface is marked 'Wath R.D.C.'
