Mile-post. Late C19. Cast iron. Triangular in plan. On left side, hand pointing right and "CATTERICK 1 MILE". On right side, hand pointing left and "PEIRCE-BRIDGE [10½ MILES]". On top, "HANG EAST HD". Dates from after the Highways Act of 1888.
