Description
Bridge Cottage is a house from the mid-18th century that has undergone significant alterations. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a concrete interlocking tile roof. The building has two storeys and four first-floor windows, with quoins at the corners.
On the ground floor, there are two doorways in the centre, each with ashlar surrounds that have interrupted jambs and extended lintels with keystones. The left doorway has a glazed door, while the right has been blocked with stone to create a window. To the left of the doorways, there are two small 20th-century casement windows.
The first floor includes a third window that is a 20th-century insertion, while the other windows are 20th-century casements set in ashlar surrounds, also featuring extended lintels with keystones. The building has shaped kneelers and ashlar copings, with brick stacks located at the left end and between the third and fourth windows. A single-storey outbuilding to the left has been converted into a garage. The rear elevation has 20th-century windows.
