Description
This is a mile post located half a mile south of Baldersby village, dating from the 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape with a semi-circular headboard that displays the words 'North Riding Yorkshire' along with a circular motif. The upper triangular face features 'Wath R.D.C.', while the south face indicates 'Thirsk 6 miles' with an arrow, and the north face shows 'Ripon 5 miles' with an arrow. The top left corner of the mile post is broken away.
