NEWBURGH NEWBURGH PARK Sundial approximately 3 metres south of south-west range of Newburgh Priory

Sundial. Mid C18. Dial by Henry Hindley, clockmaker of York. Ashlar sandstone stem, bronze dial and gnomon. Two square stone steps with shaped nosing support a square base to cylinder with garlands and fluted capital like a column base. Dial signed "Hindley York".
