Description
Ivy House and the attached railings are a late 17th to early 18th century house with mid-19th century railings. The house is built from coursed sandstone and features a pantile roof. It has two storeys and three first-floor windows, with flat arches made of rubble voussoirs on the ground floor. There is ashlar coping on the right side, a brick ridge stack to the right of the door, and a rebuilt brick stack at the right end. The railings are set on a low ashlar wall with segmental coping. The bars of the railings have arrow finials and twisted standards, and the gate posts are adorned with rosette panels. This building is included for its group value.
