Description
The sundial located 40 metres south of the tower in St. Andrew's Churchyard dates from 1796. It is made of sandstone and features a brass dial and gnomon. The base consists of four circular steps. Above the base is a round column that is square at the base where it is socketed, tapering upwards and fluted, topped with a moulded cap. The dial plate is inscribed with the names of the churchwardens, the date '1796', and the inscription 'Tho. Hargraves Settle'.
