Description

The sundial located in the churchyard to the south of the Church of St. Bartholomew dates from 1708. It is made of sandstone and features a round brass dial with a gnomon. The base is square in shape and has three steps. The dial is supported by a square fluted Doric pier, which includes a base and capital. Carved from the same piece of stone, a square moulded panel projects from one side, displaying the inscription 'IH RP IB TK 1708' in raised letters.
