Description

A pair of houses dating from the early 19th century, located on Talbot Street, Chipping Talbot. The houses are constructed of sandstone rubble and have a slate roof. They are two storeys high, with each house featuring a single bay, and the doors are situated between the bays. The windows have plain stone surrounds. No. 8 has sash windows with glazing bars. No. 10 has a similar window on the ground floor and a horizontal sliding sash window with glazing bars on the first floor. The doors have plain stone surrounds; the door to No. 10 has a reset, worn lintel inscribed with "1672," which has been re-cut. No. 8 has a second door on the far right, likely leading to a yard.
