Description
Proctor's Shop is a late 18th-century building located on Windy Street in Chipping. It is constructed of squared sandstone and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and is characterized by chamfered quoins at the right-hand end, along with a moulded stone gutter cornice. The shop has two bays, with modern windows that have plain stone surrounds; the right-hand ground-floor window is wider than the left. There are plain stone door surrounds to the left of each bay, although the left-hand door has been blocked to create a window. Above this door, on the first floor, there is a plaque that is now worn and illegible. A chimney is positioned to the right of the first bay and at the left of the facade, next to No. 2 Talbot Street.
