Description

Two cottages, likely originally one house, dating from the late 17th century and subsequently altered. The cottages are constructed of rubble with a roof of slate and stone slate. They are two storeys high with an attic. Number 14, on the left, features a ground-floor window with cement reveals and a first-floor window with three lights, featuring an outer chamfer and an inner hollow chamfer. A door with a roughly dressed stone surround is located to the right, with a chimney on the left side. Number 12 has a ground-floor window with a plain stone surround, and a first-floor window with three lights, also with an outer chamfer and an inner hollow chamfer. A small attic window with plain reveals sits above. The left-hand door has a roughly dressed stone surround, and a chimney is positioned at the right-hand end. A change in the stonework indicates that the eaves of both houses have been raised at some point.
