Description
This milepost, located approximately 60 metres east of East Street in Swinton, is a late 19th-century structure made of cast iron. It has a triangular shape with a sloped upper face and stands about 6 metres high. The left side of the milepost features the inscription "Malton 2 miles," while the right side displays "Helmsley 14" and "Kirkbymoorside 11."
