Description

This is a milepost located approximately 1 metre west of the stable range to Station Farm in Amotherby with Hildenley. It dates from the late 19th century and is made of cast iron. The milepost is triangular in shape with a sloped upper face and stands about 0.6 metres high. On the left side, it has the inscription "Malton 3 miles" beneath a pointing hand, while the right side displays "Kirkbymoorside 10 miles," also beneath a pointing hand.
