Description

This is a milepost from the late 19th century, made of cast iron and painted white with black lettering. It has a triangular shape and stands approximately 0.55 metres high. The left side features a right-pointing hand indicating "MALTON 9 MILES," while the right side has a left-pointing hand showing "KIRKBYMOORSIDE 4 MILES." The upper face is sloping.
