Description

Fairview House is an early 19th-century house located in Marton Village. It features a dressed limestone front and coursed rubble limestone sides, with sandstone chamfered quoins. The roof is made of pantiles and has brick stacks. The house has a central-entry plan and is two stories tall with a three-window front. The entrance includes a six-panel door with a divided overlight above it. The central window on the first floor is a Gothick-glazed sash set beneath a painted archivolt with imposts. The other windows are 16-pane sashes, each with painted lintels and painted stone sills. There are stacks at both ends of the building.
