Description
The Church Hall, originally a village school built in 1853, has since been extended and re-roofed. It is constructed of dressed limestone with ashlar dressings, while the extension is made of red brick in English garden wall bond. The building features a slate roof and a brick stack.
On the gable end facing the street, there is a full-height single window. The entrance consists of a pointed board door set in a plain surround, topped with a roll-moulded hood, and is accessed by a flight of steps. To the right of the door, there is a segment-arched window with three cusped pointed lights, which has chamfered mullions and is framed by a moulded surround with a rolled hoodmould. A continuous moulded impost band runs along the top.
Additionally, there is a 1914-18 war memorial panel located to the right of the window. The gable end is adorned with a barge-board and is topped with a pedimented bellcote. On the right side of the building, there are two square-headed windows, each containing three shaped lights with chamfered mullions. The left side features an off-centre stack that rises at the base of the roof.
