Description

West Garth is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of squared limestone and features a pantile roof with rebuilt brick stacks. The building has a two-cell, direct-entry plan and is two stories high with a two-window front. The entrance is off-center and consists of a 20th-century board door with a divided overlight. Throughout the house, there are two-light, small-pane horizontal-sliding sash windows. The ground-floor openings have painted lintels, and all windows have painted stone sills, with the first-floor sills resting on the ground-floor lintels. The house has end stacks.
