Description

This stable block, located approximately 5 metres to the west of The Vicarage, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features an artificial slate roof. The building has two storeys and a central carriage opening with a segmental arch made of ashlar voussoirs, which includes imposts, springers, and a keystone, all decorated with herring-bone tooling and draughted margins. There are doorways in each corner, with an ashlar lintel above a leaved stable door on the left and a 6-panel door on the right. On the first floor, there are two 2-light windows. The roof is hipped, and there is a small stack at the right end. Steps lead up to the hay-loft on the left return. This stable block is included for its group value.
