Description

ST 30 SE BETTISCOMBE 3/10 Stable-Block and attached Kitchen Garden Wall 50 metres north of Old Rectory GV II Stable-Block. Late C18. Dressed stone (E) and brick walls, in Flemish bond. Slate roof with tiled ridge and gable-ends. One storey with loft over. Four windows, wooden cross-transom casements, with ashlar voussoirs. Round arch over stable-door with recessed tympanum area. Segmental head over carriage-entrance with ashlar voussoirs and projecting key. Kitchen Garden Wall, attached to stable-block, forming a rectangular enclosure 30 m x 30 m. Rubble-stone walls with brick quoins and brick copings. South wall, entirely brick.
