Description
Covill Grange is a farmhouse dated 1685 with early 19th-century alterations, located in North Yorkshire. It is built from coursed squared stone and ashlar, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, featuring quoins at the corners. The central entrance consists of a board door with an overlight that has glazing bars, all set within a quoined stone surround. The windows are 16-pane sashes framed by plain stone surrounds. The structure includes kneelers, moulded coping, and end stacks.
On the right side, there is an outshut, and a board door is set in a quoined chamfered surround with a basket-arched lintel that bears the date "1685" above a hoodmould. To the left, there is a five-light double-chamfered mullioned window with a hoodmould, positioned above a similar four-light window. At the gable, a blind stepped three-light mullion window with a hoodmould completes the facade.
